Chandi’s Classic Collection represents the inspiration that brought Chandi to life. Shade was the first Chandi creation, based on an interpretation of the classic Italian Rispini frame, first seen in the early part of the 20th century. Chandi’s Classic chandeliers are reminiscent of the old world tradition of lighting.

The elements that define the Classic Collection are graceful curves, hand-strung and beaded frames, raw English cut or smooth macaroni swags, and traditionally made Italian glass teardrops, Czech crystal almonds, and Austrian octagonal swag and pendalogues.

The shapes themselves are reproductions of vintage chandeliers and Meredith’s original designs based on certain elements, particular to this style of chandelier, that have inspired her.

Speaking about the classic collection, Meredith says, “I love the juxtaposition of a classically designed chandelier in a modern space, where the traditional becomes the unexpected, and the graceful curves of the chandelier are accentuated by the clean lines of its surroundings.”
